Tracon Budapest Ltd. is a group of companies operating since 1990 with subsidiaries in more than ten countries in Europe. The group works with more than 5,000 resellers and nearly 7,500 products every day, which are stored in the company’s own robotised warehouse (smart warehouse). They also have their own lighting technology laboratory.
Our company has developed an integrated management information system for Tracon Ltd. in several phases, in which the data of all parent companies are displayed in one interface for the company management. The resulting report is always up-to-date and helps decision-making.
Each subsidiary in the group has its own internal Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system. However, the data collected here is not presented in an integrated system and therefore cannot be analysed together, only separately. BI-Logic Ltd. provided a solution for this task, the result of which is a management information system that has brought a radical change to the life of the entire group.
By tracking finances in real-time, not only the company managers but also the controlling department, for example, have access to up-to-date information. Other uses of the system include sales, where predefined plans and KPIs can also be tracked, even at store level. In addition, a mobile phone solution with appropriate authorisation levels (sales representatives can only see their own data, subsidiaries only their own subsidiary’s data, management can see the entire portfolio) has been developed to enable extensive use of the MIS system.
The demo presented here shows functionally the elements that make up the MIS system but is built from demo data provided by the company.
